My practice involves working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. When relating to children, play and art therapy are the basis of my counseling. My experience tells me children learn and share most successfully through play. With an adolescent, I assist with identifying what might interfere with their social success and understanding, using playfulness and verbal interactions.
As an adult, making sense of how we function within our world is a life-long process. You, as an individual experiencing life, may likely be very different from the person next to you. What another person struggles with, you may find easy.
As a licensed therapist, I tailor the therapy process to fit your individual needs and the needs of your family.
Some of the areas of emphasis in my practice are:
- Childhood Trauma
- School based issues
- Social Skills
- Separation Anxiety
- Relationship Stress
- Life Transitions/Mid-Life Issues
- Career Stress and Changes
- Self-Esteem/Personal Growth
- Victims of Crime
